Save the Date: January 17th - Volunteer Tree Planting in Forest Park.

On Saturday, January 17th, from 9:00am to 1:00pm the Forest Park Conservancy will host a tree planting event in Forest Park. The event is in collaboration with Portland Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Trees.

Come join other volunteers and community partners in our first tree planting event of 2009. The volunteer event will take place at Newton Road (click on link for directions to trailhead) in Forest Park.

There is no such thing as bad weather-only inappropriate clothing, so come prepared for all types of weather conditions. Please bring work gloves and a full bottle of water. We will have coffee and light breakfast refreshments donated by Kettleman's and Stumptown.

Post event, we will raffle off a few goodies as a thanks for your helping hand.
