I have been able to get away to the woods over the last few Sundays.

Charlie Biggs hosted a Willamette River romp near Oakridge on the 11th. A half dozen riders headed out of town after a delayed exit; missing visa, snack acquistion, Wal-Mart directions, shady-mart discussions and consequent customer firings/relocation, etc. Moments out of town, we lost a 29r wheel, and then Eric the wise snatched it unscathed from the Terwillger turns and we continued down to Oakridge. Several of us camped and screwed around after work Saturday through Sunday. Supreme breakfast made for a great day of riding. Thanks again to Charlie Biggs and Dr Bob(ert) Sanders for cheffing and providing the transpo.

Last weekend, the 18th, Charlie and Robert Sanders headed up to Three Corner Rock for some trail maintenance and climbing/descending some hilly stuff. Tate met us at the trailhead. We had a blast climbing up valleys along the Washougal River and then Stebbins creek. Two creek crossings at Stebbins creek were mighty cold. I think Tate said he left his gloves and had to do that one twice. Half the trip we spent riding and the other half we were clearing the corridor. The top spine trail was full of trees blocking our way which kinda quelched our plans to get to the top. We turned around in time to get back to the car for brewskies and a chilly soak in the Washougal. Check out the photos page for some pics.
